Overview
The Xanthurus Cream Angelfish, also known as the Indian Yellowtail Angelfish, Cream Angelfish, or Yellowtail Black Angelfish, is a striking species recognizable by its yellow caudal fin and a silvery-white outline on the dorsal fin.
This angelfish adapts well to aquarium life and requires a minimum 125-gallon tank or larger with plenty of live rock and hiding places to thrive. It may nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates) and clam mantles, so it is best suited for fish-only or cautious reef setups. Only one specimen should be kept per tank.
The Xanthurus Cream Angelfish is hermaphroditic, with no visible differences between males and females.
Its diet should include Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other meaty items.
